Background in Brief:
Bob began rallying as a navigator at 15. As a navigator in the
UK Bob learned valuable techniques that have only recently been adopted into North American rallying.
Techniques such as map reading, pace note writing and reading are just two skills that offer the
RSport Rally team an edge over it's competition. Bob "Twiz" began rally driving at 16 and proved
to be a formidable competitor, winning countless rally's and rally crosses.
Bob Trinder has over 30 years of rally experience, the last 10 of which he has been both navigating for Scott and driving
with Andy or Adam navigating. "Scott and I have had a great time rallying together. Our highlight was the 25 day Panama-Alaska Marathon Rally in 1997."
The team finished 6th overall and 1st in Class! An excellent finish competing against an international field of over 100 vehicles!
Bob is now back in the drivers seat in the Group 2 Toyota Corolla GTS. “The Toyota is just like the car we used to win the CanAMex Marathon Rally for Toyota B.C.
The CanAMex was an international marathon rally run in conjunction with Expo 86. The rally went from
Vancouver to Acapulco to Alaska and back to Vancouver. Bob won the event outright against a field of International Competitors.
Bob secured the 2002 Western Canadian Rally Championship for co-drivers in the (Production4) class.
